In March 2022, KontraS with civil society organizations drafted shadow reports for the 4th Cycle of Universal Periodic Review of Indonesia.

Universal Periodic Review (UPR) is a human rights performance review mechanism of UN state countries in Human Rights Council for every 4,5 years. This year, in November 2022, Indonesia will be reviewed for the fourth time.

In the reports, we wrote different issues, including: torture, right to dissent, press freedom, Papua, death penalty, impunity and past gross human rights violations, business and human rights, and development justice.

This compilation is aimed to be a guidance for recommending states during the UPR.
